Perfect Summer DIY – Watercolour Mugs

I love this DIY that I have been seeing all over Pinterest, so I decided to recreate it! It’s super easy and a lot of fun!

What you will need-

White ceramic coffee mugs – I got mine from Wal-Mart for $1.00

Nail Polish – any colours or any brands will work

Warm water

Container – deep enough to dip the mug in

Lets get started shall we:

This turned out to be quick and simple and turned out lovely!

Pour the nail polish in the warm water then dip the mug into the water and pull out fast! You can use as many colours as you like but you have to move fast as the nail polish quickly hardens in the water. Leave to dry !

Summer Lips

What would summer be like without bright pretty lipsticks? For me, the first sign of summer is when you put away your berry shades and darker lipsticks and bring out the brighter shades! So what I’ve been loving on my lips recently? Well, if I were going to list them all, I’d be here for a while, so I’ve narrowed it down to my current favorites.

Shiseido Lip Lacquer- Shade Disco $30.00 CAD

The colour intensity from this lip lacquer is just ridiculously outstanding – one coat is all that’s needed for super-intense colour and shine. I was afraid it would bleed because of the creamy texture. But I was wrong. The texture is creamy but not gloopy or sticky, so it actually feels very comfortable on the lips. It is very easy to apply, and I haven’t had any problem with it drying, feathering or bleeding. Plus, it has just the right amount of shine, so lips look hydrated

Lancome Colour Design – Wannabe

I actually got this as a GWP. Normally I end up hating the colors they give as freebies, but I love this one! Great staying power, especially when paired with a liner. Goes on smooth and creamy, I have been using this when I am lazy and do a boring neutral eye makeup to make my face “pop.”

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lipstick – Pretty Pink

This is a soft cool toned pink.I find this colour suits my pale skin really well. The formula of this lipstick is quite luxurious, and yes moisturizing. It’s a very 60s pink. Love it!

Dior Addict Lip Glow Colour Reviver Balm- $ 37 CAD

This is something that I’ve always been looking for. Something sheer, played up my natural lip colour without adding too much colour, and didn’t wear off right away like a lip balm.

It’s a slight hint of pink and it’s really natural looking (it wasn’t harsh or baby pink) It brightens up your natural lip colour, which is what it’s supposed to do. I find that it moisturizes well too. It has a slight minty scent

How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes-

I have seen countless girls apply their makeup with those dirty brushes that have been building up dirt at the bottom of their makeup bag for months. Cleaning your brushes is crucial for keeping the quality of your brushes in tact for a long time, but most importantly, your skin will become the victim if you do not keep your brushes clean. Here’s a step-step guide to clean your makeup brushes! Continue reading

Winter Skin Care Guide –

When it comes to skin care, most of us fall into one of two camps. There are those of use that never change our routine, using the same harsh face wash and lightweight moisturizer from our high school days. Then there’s the other group, who embrace anti- aging treatments before there’s even a wrinkle in sight- ahem me

Today I wanted to introduce you to some amazing products that I’ve been lovin’. It’s getting cold out there so I wanna share my winter skincare survival guide. Let’s get started shall we! Continue reading

This Blog Really Stinks – Elie Saab Parfum Review

There are so many miracles happening in this bottle I don’t know where to begin. The bottle itself is absolutely stunning! It’s a solid, dense piece of weighty glass, and as the light bounces off it, it looks like an expensive piece of crystal. Gorgeous.

This perfume is beautiful. I fell in love with it in the very instant I tried it. It seemed feminine, sensual, bright, in a very sophisticated way; long lasting and strong, but yet still light at the same time.
I do think that the creator did an amazing job in here. It is a well-balanced scent; nothing stands out all the notes simply compliment each other.

To me, this is an elegant, fine, dramatic perfume. I think it better fits the commercial of Charlize Theron stomping down the runway better than J’adore does — or Julia Roberts at the black-tie ball for La Vie Est Belle. It’s definitely an elegant fragrance, very womanly and gives a real confidence boost. It’s a scent for special occasions or to make a special night with a special person stand out even more ; )

Bravo! This is PERFECTION!

100 Years of Beauty in 1 Minute

Ladies, you thought your beauty routine was a lot? Try pulling off 100 years of styles in one minute. A Settle-based creative agency The Cut filmed a time-lapse video recreating looks to match every decade from 1910 to 2010. Simply brilliant reviews of past centuries, the hairstyles and makeup looks are accurately represented. It’s interesting to see how the evolution of society’s standards of beauty has changed in the past 100 years. I personally love 1930’s & 1950’s looks the best, which look is your favorite? Sorry I’m Late..

Oh the struggle. There is nothing more complex then mastering the perfect winged eyeliner. Liquid winged eyeliner skill does not come within one day you have to practice. Even when you think you’ve mastered it good luck on getting both eyes to match..

I’ve searched Pinterest for a ton of liquid eyeliner tips and tricks for myself and wanted to share them with you. There are actually a lot of different techniques that you can use if you’re struggling.

  • Figure out your eye shape, and what eyeliner style will best emphasize your eye.
  • Less is more. Use small strokes to avoid mistakes
  • Apply a piece of clear tape on the outer edges of your eye to create the perfect wing
  • Use a neutral eyeliner to map out the angle of the wing

I really like this image it breaks down the steps. I found on Pintrest that was posted by Gloria Nuhn, which was found on her tumbler page
